Microsoft’s New 365 Primary Plan: $2 a Month Contains 100GB OneDrive, Advert-Free Outlook

Microsoft rebranded Workplace 365 to Microsoft 365 in Oct. 2022, a part of its effort to slowly take the long-running “Workplace” model out of the limelight. On the time, the corporate did not make any important adjustments to the subscription tiers or options supplied. However that may change later this month with the addition of a brand new Microsoft 365 Primary tier, which can price $1.99/month ($19.99/yr).

Microsoft 365 Primary slots between Microsoft 365 (free) and Microsoft 365 Private ($6.99/month). It replaces the earlier 100GB OneDrive storage subscription and provides some perks. Microsoft says clients can count on these options with the brand new tier:

  • 100GB cloud storage
  • Works on Home windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
  • Internet and cellular variations of Phrase, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, and extra
  • Advert-free Outlook internet and cellular e-mail and calendar with superior safety (information encryption, suspicious hyperlink cheer, malware scanning for attachments)
  • Microsoft technical assist
