There have been many pretenders to the Raspberry Pi’s crown, some good and a few unhealthy. However none have managed to throw the Raspberry Pi offs its throne because the go-to single board pc for tasks. Khadas’s VIM4 is the most recent to make the try and it comes so shut.

The Khadas VIM4 is an octa-core Arm CPU package deal with a quad-core Arm Cortex A73 working at as much as 2.2 GHz, and a 2-GHz Arm Cortex A53. That is backed up with 8GB of LPDDR4X working at 2016 MHz. However there’s something else with the Khadas VIM4. Hidden underneath the flat heatsink is a 32GB eMMC 5.1 chip which provides us higher efficiency than a micro SD card.
