The MSRP Is $100 For 1TB

Finally the price of NVMe drives have hit a special price threshold, and it is nice to see a component you can actually purchase, and for a very decent price in this current market.  It is PCIe 3.0 and thus not the fastest drive on the market but it is capable of sequential reads/writes of up to 3400/3000MB per second.  The Silicon Power XD80 contains a Phison PS5012-E12S controller paired with 96L TLC NAND, however Silicon Power has reserved the right to swap those out with other components if there are supply shortages.  That is certainly not ideal but at this point there is little difference between PCIe 3.0 controllers and a modified drive in stock is better than empty shelves.

Neoseeker benchmarked the drive and verified the drive can meet the advertised speeds.  They also discovered that the large aluminium heatsink is very effective and keeps the drive from throttling thanks to thermals.  Check out the full review here.
